Local music icon, Luke Geiger, is heading to Alton Downs this Friday to headline an exciting new event hosted by his great mate, Stephen Andrew, MP for Mirani.

Mr Andrew is hoping to retain the seat of Mirani, which he has held since 2017, at the upcoming State Election, this time as a member of the Katter Australia Party.

The No Door Knock Rock Concert is the first of three FREE concerts to be hosted by the Mirani MP across the electorate in coming weeks.

Each concert features Luke Geiger, one of Queensland’s most popular musicians.

Attendees at Friday’s concert will also get to hear from the KAP’s Stephen Andrew, with a special guest appearance made by the North Queensland Legend himself, Bob Katter.

“It is an unusual event in which people will have a chance to learn about the Katter Australia Party while enjoying a free concert at the same time” Mr Andrew said.

“This is the first time the Katter Australia Party have had a candidate standing for the seat of Mirani
and they are very keen to help promote the party and engage with members of the community in a relaxed and fun setting”.

“I thank the Shooters Union of Australia and the Katter Australia Party for sponsoring the concerts, as well as Luke Geiger, who’s involvement has made the whole thing possible”.

Mr Andrew said he wanted to provide an opportunity to those living in small towns across his electorate, to get together as a community and have fun, while listening to some great music.

“Free live music is an important part of the Central Queensland lifestyle,” he said.

“With the weather warming up, now is the perfect time to get out and enjoy the fantastic night we’ve got lined up”.

“I encourage everyone to come along to the Friday concert at Alton Downs Polocrosse Club for a good time.”

Mirani Constituents are invited to take advantage of the Free Tickets, which are on offer now. Each ticket admits 2 People.
