KAP leader and Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter has thrown his support behind a dairy farmers' petition that asks supermarkets to increase the price of milk by 10 cents per litre and that processors guarantee the full amount will go directly back to the farmer. Mr Katter has long advocated for a better deal for the dairy industry that suffered catastrophic economic and social consequences after deregulation and now faces skyrocketing fodder costs during the drought.

FEDERAL parliament's privileges committee will not investigate the withdrawal of funding for Katter's Australian Party in Queensland. KAP Senator Fraser Anning wanted an inquiry into whether Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk was in contempt of the Senate when she withdrew resources from the party after the Senator made an incendiary speech, widely labelled as racist.

KATTER'S Australian Party MPs have called on the major political parties to "swap their soy latte for a milkshake" and back a milk levy to support dairy farmers. State KAP leader Robbie Katter said his party would move to put a motion in the next sitting of Parliament that calls for the introduction of a 10 cent a litre milk levy put forward by the Queensland Dairy Farmers Organisation.

Katter says gender-neutrality is now used in different things, particularly in the Commonwealth Games and in the instruction manual for the Defence Force. HILL MP Shane Knuth will introduce a motion to Parliament this week calling for a 10c milk levy to help dairy farmers. The proposed levy, put forward by the Queensland Dairyfarmers' Organisation, has been supported by almost 100,000 people on an online petition.

He says State Member for Hill Shane Knuth together with Cairns Councillor Moller went to the State Government to reconsider the management zoning that has been implemented in the area of the sighting. According to Moller, he's very pleased to say that he's received a letter from the Department of Environment, confirming that they're targeting to rezone the Babinda Creek and remove crocodiles from selected areas. He adds that the rezoning will give locals peace of mind.

HINCHINBROOK MP Nick Dametto has urged the community to get behind a new Bill designed to protect - rather than persecute - people who use common sense gender pronouns in the workplace. The Katter's Australian Party MP said a continuous assault on everyday language by the so-called Political Correctness Brigade had forced his party to develop the Anti-Discrimination and Other Legislation (Right to use to Use Gender Specific Language) Amendment Act 2018, otherwise known as the "He Said-She Said" Bill.

HINCHINBROOK MP Nick Dametto has praised new commercial initiatives which are using cane and pasture grown by North Queensland farmers to help drought-stricken cattle producers doing it tough. Supplier Feed Central is scouring farms across Australia to purchase cane tops and pasture which will then be advertised and sold to their long term and drought-affected clients.

HINCHINBROOK MP Nick Dametto has called on the Department of Transport and Main Roads to end uncertainty over vehicle lift modifications in a bid to stop four-wheeldrive vehicle owners being unfairly targeted by police. The Katter's Australian Party MP said he was concerned by the ad hoc Operation Lift on the Gold Coast earlier this month, where police stopped more than 60 4WD vehicles and issued some motorists with defect notices for having a lift greater than 50mm.

HINCHINBROOK MP Nick Dametto has called on the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) to end the uncertainty over vehicle lift modifications in a bid to stop 4WD owners being unfairly targeted by police. The Katter's Australian Party MP said he was concerned by the ad-hoc "Operation Lift" on the Gold Coast, which saw police stop more than 60 4WD vehicles and issue some motorists with defect notices for having a lift of greater than 50mm. He said TMR "clarified" its regulations for vehicles with Electronic Stability Control from 75mm down to 50mm without notifying the 4WD community.
