The Katter’s Australian Party Leader, Robbie Katter MP has today declared that the Olympic games are dead.

“I am beyond disgusted to see footage of a man in a boxing ring punching a woman, and to see this condoned by the Olympics – I have no words,” the Queensland State Member for Traeger said.

“I was taught as a kid that and a boy, you never hit a girl.  But here we have internationally condoned ‘sport’, where this is precisely the case.

“First, I heard about transgender athletes wanting to compete in women’s swimming events, then I read about a convicted child rapist representing the Netherlands in beach volleyball, and now this!  It is utterly abhorrent and must be called out.

“I remember watching the Olympics as a kid growing up, sitting around the television as a family and cheering on Australia.  I’m seriously questioning if I’m willing to do the same with my kids now – I don’t want my kids exposed to men boxing against women, or celebrating paedophile rapists,” Mr Katter said.

Mr Katter is writing to the Premier and the Opposition Leader, to demand that they commit to an immediate turnaround of this Olympic Commission policy, or they tear up the Brisbane Olympics agreement.

“Aside from the fact that I know the Brisbane Olympics are a wasteful money splash on the South East corner, I’ll be ashamed to be a Queenslander if my state willingly hosts this sort of competition,” the KAP leader said.

“Women’s events must only be for those who God created as a woman,” Mr Katter said.
