DOZENS of locals were able to press the flesh with Hinchinbrook MP Nick Dametto after he threw open the doors to his Ingham electorate office for a meet and greet event last Friday.
The Katter’s Australian Party (KAP) MP was joined by colleagues Bob Katter, the Federal Member for Kennedy, and Hill MP Shane Knuth for an afternoon of mingling with local constituents.
“It was fantastic to catch up with so many constituents in Hinchinbrook and hear from them on the issues that matter,” Mr Dametto said.
“I was humbled by the show of support and grateful for the community’s strong endorsement of the job we’re doing.
“We’ve got a long road to go but I know together we can make a positive difference.”
Representatives from a range of local sectors were in attendance at the meet and greet, including agriculture, business, local government and several community groups.
“In addition to thanking all of our supporters, the event also served as a great way to connect with new people,” Mr Dametto said.
“My team and I are always approachable and happy to help our constituents on any State-related matter.”
